Dave Steckel
Dave Steckel is an American center on the Washington Capitals.
Steckel was drafted by Los Angeles in 2001, but decided to play four years at Ohio State before entering the NHL. By the time he made his NHL debut in 2005, he had been traded to Washington. He played 12 games over his first two seasons, but made the permanent roster for the 2007-08 season. He played 67 games and finished with 12 points. He is one of the best faceoff men on the Capitals, and is also an excellent penalty killer, due to his gritty style of play and the long reach of his 6'5, 222 lbs. frame.
