Brooks Laich is a Canadian center on the Washington Capitals.
Laich was drafted in 2001 by the Ottawa Senators. He spent most of the next four seasons in the AHL and WHL, playing only a single game with the Senators. He played his first full season in 2006-07, finishing with 18 points. In 2007-08, he had an impressive season, finishing with 21 goals and 37 points. As a young talent on a young rebuilding team, Laich will likely continue to improve. The Capitals re-signed Laich to a three year contract in the 2008 offseason.
