Yan Stastny

Yan Stastny is a Canadian-American center on CSKA Moscow.

Stastny was born in Quebec, but grew up in St. Louis. He was drafted in 2002 by the Boston Bruins, but was traded to the Edmonton Oilers before his NHL debut in 2006. He was traded back to Boston, before being moved to St. Louis in January of the 2006-07 season. He spent parts of the next three years with the Blues, but spent most of his time in the AHL. In 2010, he opted to sign with CSKA Moscow for the chance to play senior pro hockey in the KHL.

Stastny played for Team USA at the World U-18 Torunament in 2005.
