Jason Chimera is a Canadian left winger on the Washington Capitals.

Chimera was drafted by Edmonton in 1997, and played with Edmonton from 2000 until 2004. A talented skater and hard-working checking forward, he was traded to Phoenix before the lockout, but was dealt to Columbus at the start of the 2005 season. Chimera had his best season in 2006-07, scoring 15 goals and 36 points. He saw his point production drop a bit over the next few seasons, but was traded to Washington before the 2010 trade deadline, and scored 17 points in the last half of the year with the Caps.

Chimera won a gold medal with Canada at the 2007 World Hockey Championships, and participated in the 2008 tournament as well.
