Jed Ortmeyer

Jed Ortmeyer is an American right winger on the San Jose Sharks.

Ortmeyer is a solid defensive forward and penalty kill specialist. While his offensive talents may not define his play, his hustle and checking ability make him a valuable asset to his team. He played his college hockey at the University of Michigan, and joined the New York Rangers in 2003. Ortmeyer played regularly with New York over three seasons, and signed with Nashville in 2007. He played only 53 games over two years with the Predators, and signed with the Sharks in 2009. In his first 25 games with the Sharks, he has 7 points already, one less than he scored over 2 seasons with the Predators.
