Matt Walker is a Canadian defenseman on the Philadelphia Flyers.

Walker was drafted in 1998 by St. Louis. He saw limited playing time with the Blues from 2002 through 2008, playing in only 175 games over five seasons. He signed with Chicago in July of 2008 as an unrestricted free agent. Walker played a career high 65 games in 2008-09 with the Blackhawks, scoring 14 points and recording 79 penalty minutes. He played in 17 playoff games for Chicago and helped the Blackhawks reach the Western Conference Finals. In 2009, he was signed as a free agent by the Tampa Bay Lightning. He played 66 games with the struggling Lightning in 2009-10, but recorded just 5 points and a -11 rating. He was traded to the Flyers for Simon Gagne in the 2010 offseason.
