Martin Brodeur is a Canadian goalie on the New Jersey Devils.
Martin Brodeur has been the face of the Devils since being drafted 20th overall by the club in 1990. Brodeur, a lock for the Hall of Fame, has won 4 Vezina Trophies, 4 Jennings Trophies, and holds the NHL record for most wins in a single NHL season. He will most likely break the record for all time wins and shutouts before the end of his career. Brodeur’s successes began early in his career, when he won the Calder trophy in 1994. He won the Stanley Cup in 1995, 2000 and again in 2003, posting 7 shutouts for the Devils in 2003. He has been an NHL All-Star 10 times in his career, and holds a number of goaltending records, including the honor of being the only goalie to win 40 wins in a season 7 times in a row. He has also scored twice in his career.
Brodeur has played for Team Canada at 7 international competitions. His only gold medal came at the 2002 Winter Olympics.
