Vladimir Markelov

Vladimir Alexandrovich Markelov is a professional Russian ice hockey player who is best known for being a striker of HC Sibir Novosibirsk, a professional ice hockey club that is a part of the Kontinentalen Hockey-Liga or KHL. Markelov was born on August 31, 1987 in Novosibirsk, Russian SFSR.

Markelov started his professional career as a professional ice hockey player when he was signed by HC Sibir Novosibirsk. Although he was still in the junior division of the said team, he was able to turn pro in 2006, which he held on to until 2010.

In 2010, Markelov left the club that helped him shape his career and transferred to HK Gomel. However, his time with the said club was short lived as he eventually went back to HC Sibir Novosibirsk in 2011.
