Maxim Kondratiev is a professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the Salavat Yulaef Ufa hockey team in the Kontinental Hockey League. Born on January 21, 1983, in Togliatti, Russia, the Russian player was drafted in the 6th round, 168th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2001 NHL Entry Drafts. The Russian player played for other American teams as well, among them the Portland Pirates and the AHL affiliate team the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, which signed him in a trade in 2006 from the New York Rangers. He also signed in to play for the Russian Hockey Super League team HC Lada Togliatti in the 2006-2007 seasons.

He went back to Anaheim shortly afterwards to play for the NHL club Anaheim ducks in the 2007-2008 season, but he was assigned to the Portland Pirates. However, he was suspended by the club after he failed to report to Portland. He returned to Russia to play for St. Petersburg team although he is still owned by the Anaheim Ducks.
