Alexander Naurov
Alexander Naurov is professional ice hockey player from Russia. Born on March 4, 1985 in Saratov, Russia, the 25-year old right wing started playing ice hockey at the age of 10. His first hockey team was Kristal Saratov before he joined Yaroslavl’s hockey school when he was 14. He was also a member of the Russian ‘85/U18 squad.
Known for hi excellent puckhandling skills, Naurov was eligible for the NHL Entry drafts in 2003 and was selected in the fourth round and 143th overall pick by the Dallas Stars. He started gaining recognition after replacing Roman Petrov on the top 2’s line on Lokomotiv along with Alexei Ivanov and Konstantin Glazachev. He is now a member of ’85 lines.
Naurov played for Torpedo Yaroslavl 85 in the 2000-2001 season before moving on to Team Russian 85 in the same season for the 4 Nations Tournament. He played for Lokomotiv 84-85 of the Junior League for the next two seasons. The Russian player played the most number of games during his stint with Kristal where he played 52 games. Highest goal points scored so far was during his years with Lokomotiv 84-85 where he scored 13 goal points in the 2001-2002 seasons.
