Joe Motzko is a professional ice hockey player who was born on March 14, 1980 in Bemidji, Minnesota, United States. Motzko is best known as the right wing player of ERC Ingolstadt of the DEL or the German Ice Hockey league.

Motzko started his playing career as a player of the Omaha Lancers in 1998, but stayed with the team for just one year. After which, Motzko signed with St. Cloud University, where he played ice hockey at the same time pursued a degree.

After graduating from college, Motzko went on to pursue a rich career by being signed by numerous known clubs such as the Portland Pirates, Chicago Wolves, and eventually ERC Ingolstadt.
