Rainer-Georg Kottsorfer is a German who plays professional ice hockey. Kottstorfer plays a defender for the Hamburg Freezers, which is a club in the German Ice Hockey League or DEL. Born on August 2, 1981 in Rosenheim, Germany, Kottstorfer has maintained his defender or striker position since he was still in his youth.
Kottstorfer’s playing career started when he was signed by the European Bauer Pioneers. This was in 1998, but Kottstorfer remained with the team for just a year. After his time with the Pioneers, Kottstorfer transferred to Jung Adler Mannheim where he stayed for two years.
Kottstorfer has been in a number of clubs over the course of his career, joining known teams such as the Valley Junior Warriors, Schwenningen Wild Wings, EV Duisburg, Krefeld Penguins, Hannover Scorpions, and of course the Hamburg Freezers.
