Brett Engelhardt is a professional ice hockey player who was born on August 12, 1980 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, United States. Although Engelhardt is American, he is known currently as a right wing player of the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga or the German Ice Hockey League.
Engelhardt started playing professionally in 1998 when he was signed by the Green Bay Gamblers. There he spent two years of his career, which is known as the only two years of his career that he played in the United States Hockey League. When he studied in college, Engelhardt was able to join the Michigan Technological University varsity team, which is a part of the NCAA.
By the summer of 2008, Engelhardt was signed by the Hannover Scorpions, and after two years with the team, he transferred to play with the Hamburg Freezers.
