Stefan Ustorf is a German professional ice hockey player who was born on January 3, 1974 in Kaufbeuren, Bavaria, Germany. Ustorf is best known for being the son of coach and former hockey player, Peter Ustorf.
Ustorf started playing professional ice hockey as a center in the club at his hometown called SEV Kaufbeureum. He played for the team for three seasons before moving on to North America where he was a part of the National Hockey League when he was signed by the Washington Capitals.
During the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, Ustorf was selected and was soon a part of the Portland Pirates of the AHL. He was then asked to play for the Washington Capitals, where he was able to play in 54 NHL games.
Ustorf then joined the Berlin Capitals where his father was one of the coaches. It was only in 2001, however, that Ustorf went back to play in the German Ice Hockey League, signing up with Adler Mannheim.
