Aleksei Simakov

Aleksei Simakov is a Russian right winger on Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.

Simakov began his Super League career with Dynamo Energia Ekaterinburg in 1997, playing four seasons with the club before joining Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk for the first time in 2002. He had 14 goals and 30 points with the team in 2003-04, which would stand as his career high for a few seasons. He spent the end of the 2004-05 season with Ak Bars Kazan after being traded at the deadline, but returned to Nizhnekamsk for another season. In 2006, he joined CSKA Moscow, where he played two seasons before joining SKA St. Petersburgh when the KHL was created in 2008. During the 2007-08 season, he set new career highs with 14 goals and 29 points. He played just 1 game with the club before being traded to Metallurg Magnitogorsk, and then again to CSKA Moscow in 2009. He spent 2009-10 with Automobilist Ekaterinburg, scoring 25 points, and joined Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in 2010.
