Igor Bortnikov

Igor Bortnikov is a Russian forward on Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.

Bortnikov has played his whole career in the Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk system, beginning in 2007 when he joined Neftekhimik Nizhekamsk-2 in the Russian Third League. He scored 26 goals and 61 points in his rookie season, and was called up for one game in the KHL that year. He joined the club for 24 games in 2008-09, but was unable to make an impact, and was returned to the MHL for most of the next season. He began the 2010-11 season in the MHL, but was called up to the KHL after just 2 games.
