Ion-Georgy Kostev

Ion-Georgy Kostev is a Russian defenseman on Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.

Kostev began his career in the Third League with Olympia Kirovo-Chepetsk, scoring 13 points and 71 penalty minutes. He played the next season in the Second League before making his KHL debut with Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in 2009. He has split the last two seasons between the MHL and KHL, although he has played well enough to merit most of his playing time up with the senior club.
