Alexei Krivchenkov
Alexei Krivchenkov is a Russian defenseman on Metallurg Novokuznetsk.
Krivchenkov was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1994, after making his Super League debut with CSKA Moscow that season. He played his first full season in Russia during 1994-95, scoring 5 points and 43 penalty minutes in 46 games. He spend the next three years playing semi-pro hockey in North America, but was unable to get a shot at an NHL lineup. He returned to Russia in 1998, and spent his first year back in Sibir Novosibirsk. He then played six years with Severstal Cherepovets, the longest he would play with any team at one time. He spent 2004-05 with Sibir Novosibirsk, was traded to Vityaz Chekhov the next season, and then traded back before the end of the year. He then played another three years with Sibir Novosibirsk, setting a career high with 14 points in 2006-07. He was dealt to Metallurg Novokuznetsk in 2008, and was named an assistant captain in 2010.
