Martin Biron is a Canadian goalie on the New York Rangers.

Biron was drafted in 1995 by the Buffalo Sabres. Biron played sparingly between 1995 and 2000, struggling in the few opportunities that he got to play. After developing further in the QMJHL, Biron was called up to be the Sabres' backup in 2000. In 2001-02, he started 69 games, finishing with 31 wins and a 2.22 GAA. The arrival of Ryan Miller did little to help Biron get more playing time and at the close of the 2006 season, he requested a trade. In 2007, Biron signed with the Flyers and was named their starting goalie.

Biron was one of the major reasons that the Flyers were able to make such a quick turnaround. In 2006-07, they finished last in the Eastern Conference. In 2007-08, behind Biron's 30 wins and 2.59 GAA, they made it to the Eastern Conference Finals. In 2009, Philadelphia signed Ray Emery to be their starter, and Biron was signed by the New York Islanders as they attempted to find a replacement for the injured Rick DiPietro. Biron was expected to split the starting duties with fellow veteran Dwayne Roloson, but Biron struggled to find his game and won only 9 games in 26 starts. He posted a 3.27 GAA and a .896 save percentage and was not re-signed by the Isles. During the 2010 offseason, he signed with the Islanders' cross-town rivals to back up Henrik Lundqvist.

Biron has played for Team Canada twice, once at the Junior Championships in 1996 and in the 2003 World Championships. He was a backup both times.
