Ilya Solarev

Ilya Solarev is a Kazakh-Russain center on Barys Astana.

Solarev was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2001, after a couple seasons played in the Russian Third League. He never made it over to North America, playing the next six and a half seasons in Kazakhstan and the Second League. He had 16 goals and 30 points in 2006-07, and was acquired by Barys Astana midway through the 2007-08 season. He had 8 goals and 16 points in his first KHL season in 2008-09.
