Alexei Vasilichenko
Alexei Vasilichenko is a Kazakh defenseman on Barys Astana.
Vasilichenko has played for a number of different Russian teams throughout his career, starting with Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk in 2000. He made his Super League debut with Spartak Moscow in 2002, appearing in 17 games with the club that season. He then played a season with Salavat Yulaev Ufa, after which he joined Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. He played three years with the team, setting a career high with 85 penalty minutes in 2006-07. He signed with CSKA Moscow in 2007, but was traded to HC MVD midway through the season. He signed with Barys Astana in the 2008 offseason, and had a career high 11 points with the team in 2009-10.
Vasilichenko played for Kazakhstan at the 2006 Olympic Games.
