Vitaly Novopashin

Vitaly Novopashin is a Kazakh defenseman on Barys Astana.

Novopashin has played on a number of teams in Russia and Kazakhstan throughout his career, since making his Super League debut with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in 2000. He played two more seasons with the club before joining Salavat Yulaev Ufa in 2002. He rejoined Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in 2004, and had a career season that year, posting 29 points with the team in the Second League. He helped the club earn a promotion to the KHL in 2008, and signed with Barys Astana in 2010.
