Tomas Kloucek

Tomas Kloucek is a Czech defenseman on Barys Astana.

Kloucek was drafted by the New York Rangers in 1998, and went on to play the next few seasons in the QMJHL and AHL. He had 10 points and 113 penalty minutes in his first AHL season, and spent the next few seasons bouncing between the Rangers and their AHL team in Hartford. He was picked up by Nashville in 2002, but played just 8 games for the Predators before being traded to Atlanta. He played 38 games with the Thrashers over the course of two seasons before returning to Europe in 2007. He spent a season with HC Zlin before signing with Barys Astana in 2008. In his first KHL season, he had 22 points and 222 penalty minutes.
