Vadim Epanchintsev
Vadim Epanchintsev is a Russian center on HK Atlant.
Epanchintsev was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 1994, after scoring 10 points for the Russian U18 team at the U18 Junior Tournament that season. He played the next three years with Spartak Mosocw, scoring 20 goals and 32 points in 1995-96. The closest he came to playing in the NHL was a season he spent in the ECHL and IHL in 1997-98, but he returned to Russia the following season. He spent two years with Metallurg Novokuznetsk, three seasons with Severstal Cherepovets and two years with Ak Bars Kazan before signing with HK Atlant for the first time in 2005. In 2004, he had the best plus minus in the Russian Super League, recording a +29 rating. He had a career year with CSKA Moscow in 2006-07, scoring 46 points and 80 penalty minutes, and helping the club make a deep playoff run. He spent a season with Dynamo Moscow before being traded to HK Atlant near the end of the year, but was traded to Neftekhimik during the 2010 offseason. He was traded back to HK Atlant after just 2 games.
Epanchintsev won a silver medal with the Russian U18 team in 1994, as well as a silver medal at the 1995 World Juniors.
