Dmitri Bykov is a Russian defenseman on HK Atlant.
Bykov was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in 2001, after scoring 10 points in his sixth season of play in the Russian Super League. He played another season in Russia with Ak Bars Kazan before joining the Red Wings in 2002-03. He had 2 goals, 12 points and 43 penalty minutes during 71 games with the Red Wings, but returned to Ak Bars Kazan the following season. He played two more years with the club before spending a season with Dynamo Moscow. He was picked up by HK Atlant in 2006, and has served as an assistant captain for the last two seasons. He was given the honor after setting a career high with 21 points in 2008-09.
Bykov won a silver medal with Russia at the 2002 World Championships.
