Andrei Plekhanov

Andrei Plekhanov is a Russian defenseman on Amur Khabarovsk.

Plekhanov was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2004, and came to North America to play in the OHL with the Sarnia Sting. He played just two games with the team before returning to Russia. He made his Super League debut with Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk and spent the next two years with the club. He had a career high 28 penalty minutes in 2006-07, and was brought over to the AHL with the Syracuse Crunch the following season. He had 43 points over the course of two seasons with the Crunch, but returned to Russia with Dynamo Moscow in 2009. He signed with Amur Khabarovsk in 2010.
