Alexei Mikhnov

Alexei Mikhnov is a Ukrainian-Russian winger on Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

Mikhnov was drafted in the first round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers, after putting up 24 goals and 41 points in the Russian Third league. He played a season with Dynamo Moscow, followed by three years with Sibir Novosibirsk in the Super League before being traded to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in 2005. He scored 14 goals and 22 points with the club in 2005-06, and came to North America the following season. He played just 2 games with the Oilers, spending most of the year in the AHL, and returned to Yaroslavl in 2007. He set career highs with 16 goals and 35 points, along with 57 penalty minutes in 2008-09.
