Petr Caslava is a Czech defenseman on CSKA Moscow.
Caslava has played nearly his entire career in the Czech Extraliga, since he joined HC Pardubice in 1997. He was never really an impact player for the club until 2004-05, whe he erupted for 17 points and 50 penalty minutes and helped the team win the league title. Considering that he had never scored more than 2 points in a season of play at the senior pro level, it was somewhat of a surprise, but he has maintained at least a measure of his scoring touch from that season, scoring at least 10 points in each subsequent season. He spent 2007-08 in the Russian Super League with Severstal Cherepovets, scoring 10 points and 69 penalty minutes, one year after setting a career high with 77 penalty minutes in the Czech Republic. He began the 2009-10 season with Timra in the Elitserien, where he had 11 points and 34 penalty minutes, before returning to captain Pardubice to another league title. He was signed by CSKA Moscow during the 2010 offseason.
Caslava won a gold medal with the Czech Republic at the 2010 World Championships.
