Alexander Popov

Alexander Popov is a Russian left winger on Avangard Omsk.

One of the longest serving members on the current team, Popov has played with Omsk since 1998, when he scored 35 points in 32 games with Omsk's minor league club in the Russian Third League. He joined the senior team full-time in 2000, and won his first league title with the team in 2004. He set a career high with 14 goals and 39 points in 2008-09.
