Petri Vehanen is a Finnish goalie on Ak Bars Kazan.

Vehanen began his pro hockey career with Lukko in the Finnish SM-Liiga, where he was the backup for five seasons between 1995 and 2001, aside from a season he spent with Viking in Norway. He got his shot at the starting job in 2001, and continued to improve over the next four years, culminating in 2003-04, when he posted a 9.25 save percentage and 2.13 GAA. He spent 2005-06 with Mora in the Elitserien and 2006-07 in the Russian Super League with Neftekhimik Niznhekamsk before returing to Lukko in 2007. In 2009-10, he had the best season of his career, putting up a 1.6 GAA and .940 save percentage in 18 games with Lukko before being sent to Ak Bars Kazan, where he won the Gagarin Cup, posting a 1.60 GAA and .937 save percentage in the playoffs. He won the KHL's best goalie award that year as well.

Vehanen won a bronze medal with Finland at the 2008 World Championships.
