Vasily Tokranov

Vasily Tokranov is a Russian defenseman on Ak Bars Kazan.

Tokranov began his pro hockey career in the Russian junior leagues with Neftyanik Almetievsk, where he made a reputation for himself as a tough, physical defenseman with 12 points and 204 penalty minutes between 2005 and 2007. He spent most of the next two seasons with the club, aside from a few brief callups to Ak Bars Kazan. In 2010, he was selected as a permanent member of the roster and has played well through the first half of the season, despite seeing limited ice time.

Tokranov won a bronze medal at the 2008-09 World Juniors with Team Russia.
