Evgeni Biryukov

Evgeni Biryukov is a Russian defenseman on Metallurg Magnitogorsk.

Biryukov has played his entire career in the Magnitogorsk system, starting in 2004, when he scored 9 points and 72 penalty minutes for the club's junior team. He jumped to the SuperLeague the following year, and had 3 points and 28 penalty minutes in his rookie year. He set career highs with 10 points and 50 penalty minutes for the club in 2008-09, and won his first league championship with the team in 2007.

Biryukov won a silver medal at the 2006 World Juniors with Team Russia.
