Mikhail Churlyaev

Mikhail Churlyaev is a Russian defenseman on Metallurg Magnitogorsk.

Churlyaev is currently under a junior contract with the club, but has played in Magnitogorsk's system since 2005. His best season to date was 2007-08, whe he had 24 points and 36 penalty minutes for Magnitogorsk-2 in the third-tier league of the Russian hockey system. The following season, he was called up to the MHL, where he had 7 goals, 22 points and 32 penalty minutes, helping the team win the league title. He was recalled to the senior club in 2010, where he has played six games thus far.

Churlyaev won a gold medal with Russia at the U18 World Juniors.
