Casey Borer

Casey Borer is an American defenseman in the Carolina Hurricanes’ organization.

Borer was drafted by the Hurricanes in 2004, after his freshman year at St. Cloud State University. He finished his collegiate career in 2007, and signed with the Albany River Rats. He earned himself a callup in 2008, playing in 11 games with the Canes and scoring a goal and 3 points. He appeared in just five games with the Hurricanes over the next two years, due to a couple of serious injuries. He’ll compete for a roster spot in 2010-11.
