High flying Sunrisers Hyderabad will be facing the Delhi Daredevils in their IPL fixture which is to be played at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in New Delhi on Friday, April 12.
The home team lie at the bottom of the league table with no wins in their three matches so far. They have missed some top players in their lineup in the forms of Jesse Ryder and Kevin Pietersen. Morne Morkel has finally joined up after the domestic t20 tournament in South Africa.
Virender Sehwag is yet to feature in this edition of the IPL as well. It has been David Warner who has been really playing well and literally carrying the side on his shoulders along with the help of skipper Mahela Jayawardene.
Delhi Daredevils have been missing the killer instinct for a while now and a match in front of their home fans might be their best chance of putting together a positive run in the current edition of the IPL.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have caused some upsets in the IPL and started well with a couple of wins. It will be interesting to see how they recover from the thrashing they received at the hands of the Royal Challengers Bangalore the other night.
Some of their star performers so far have been Cameron White, Dale Steyn, Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra, and Thisara Perera. Skipper Kumar Sangakkara has so far been unsuccessful this year, although he showed signs of improvement the other day. We might just see him batting in full flow against the Daredevils.
Dale Steyn on the other hand has been firing in all cylinders and batsmen are running scared at the moment. The South African will be looking to pick as many wickets as possible as he aims to come out on top when he faces Morne Morkel, his opening bowling partner for South Africa, who will be turning out for the home team.
