Royal Challengers Bangalore will look to pile the misery on the Sunrisers Hyderabad as the newly formed franchisee visit the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore for the second leg of the double header between the two sides on Tuesday, April 9.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore resembled a lightweight team on Sunday as the Sunrisers had no trouble getting past them as they went on a two match unbeaten streak which put the visitors in an extremely healthy position at the start of the season.
Once again, a lot will be down to the performance of the super Chris Gayle, a man who can simply maul any bowling attack that the world has to offer on his day. The likes of Tillakaratne Dilshan, Moises Henriques, Virat Kohli, Manish Pandey and Saurabh Tiwary have to turn it on with the bat as well.
The absence of Zaheer Khan has weakened their bowling majorly. A lot will now depend on the performances of RP Singh, R Vinay Kumar, Daniel Vettori with the ball. Overall though, it will be safe to assume that the Royal Challengers will come out on top in front of their home crowd.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have had a gala time in front of their home crowd winning a couple of matches on the trot.
The skipper, Kumar Sangakkara has led the side well so far. However, the Sri Lankan will be wary of his form with the bat as it shows no signs of improvement. In order to win against top notch opposition, the side needs experienced heads like him to fire.
The likes of Cameron White and Parthiv Patel should also look to contribute to the cause with the bat as both failed miserably in the last occasion. Dale Steyn, Ishant Sharma, and Amit Mishra are in great form at the moment with the ball which lends good balance to the side.
The Bangalore v Hyderabad match begins at 4 pm local time.
