Tillakaratne Mudiyanselage Dilshan bats right handedly and bowls right arm offbreak and is an all rounder of Sri Lanka cricket team. The other teams for whom he has played are Sebastianites Cricket and Athletic Club, Kalutara Town Club, Delhi Daredevils, Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club, Basnahira South and Asia XI. Presently, he has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore to play for the IPL 5 season 2012.
Dilshan played his first Test match against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo on 18th November 1999. In the 1st innings, he came to bat at the No. 5 spot and scored 9 runs in 36 deliveries including 1 boundary. In the 2nd innings, he took 2 catches. This match was drawn. Dilshan debuted in One day Internationals on 11th December 1999 at Bulawayo against Zimbabwe. Dilshan batted at the No. 6 position and scored 35 runs in 49 deliveries inclusive of 2 boundaries. This match did not have any result as after 14.5 overs of the Zimbabwe innings, rain interrupted the match.
