The third period of the Sports Pundit IPL Fantasy begins from the 4th of May and will go up to the 10th of May and will have 11 matches being played during the same time.
This piece previews the Players to watch out for during the forthcoming week from Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab.
Rajasthan Royals: The Rajasthan Royals are the defending champions, but haven’t been in the best of forms this time around. Or should I say that most other teams have caught up with them this time around. Another reason for their not so successful campaign this year has been the failure of their openers, whether it is Graeme Smith, Rob Quiney or Swapnil Asnodkar. Quiney looks certain to play in the next one as Smith’s failed to deliver what was expected out of him and the Sports Pundit IPL Fantasy experts could think of taking him in.
Yusuf Pathan is always there, and the one reason why I think he can become a bigger threat is because Shane Warne may want to promote him up the order.
Shane Watson should soon be back to South Africa after his endeavours at Dubai against Pakistan, where he topped the batting charts and could be one of the best buys possible. The other player to watch out for could be Ravindra Jadeja, who has been in a good nick, and now should have a confidence touching the sky after being selected for the ICC World T20. >
Kings XI Punjab:
Yusuf Abdullah is my man for the rest of the tournament and the simple reason is that he looks to have the knack of picking up wickets rather regularly. Yuvraj Singh has struggled on this trip so far except for that one fifty, and instead of him, I would go for any of Simon Katich, Kumar Sangakkara or Mahela jayawardene.
Ramesh Powar is highly under-rated, but behind his rotund figure is a highly talented, wicket-taking bowler who can be considered for the next one week.
