Talwinderjit Singh was born on 21st October 1986 in Punjab, India. Singh is an Indian professional basketball player who is presently playing for the Young Cagers team. He had also taken an active part at the FIBA Asia Champions Cup. Other than that, he is even a member of the Indian NBA team.

Singh played in international basketball after which he came back to India to achieve tremendous success in this profession.

At the age of 20, he had left India from where he polished his basketball skills in USA. In USA, Singh joined the USA Division II team in San Jose City. After a short period, he joined another US-based side, Babbar Sher California (BSC). There he received many nicknames like ‘Air India’, ‘TJ’ Sahi etc.

He returned to India after 3 years due to some family issues. Unsure whether to rejoin the basketball team or not, he realized that his team needs him to win the matches. So, he came back with a bang and from then onwards, his career in basketball boasted.

With a good physic and an adequate height of six feet one inches, Talwinderjit Singh has established himself as a renowned player of basketball after the FIBA Asia Championship 2009. He has established his name in domestic matches too.

As a national team member of India basketball team, his career started with the FIBA Asia Championship in 2009. He played exceptionally well and scored solid performance in first tournament. In this match, India stood at 13th position with the help of Talwinderjit Singh’s performance. His statistics show that he scored an average of 13.6 points, 2.4 steals and with 4 rebounds per game in the tournament. He was the second-highest player to have achieved such statistics for the tournament, and was behind Mehdi Kamrani, an Iranian basketball player.
