Jose Enrico P. Villanueva was born in Pasay City in Philippines in 1980. He is a Filipino professional basketball player who plays for the Barangay Ginebra Kings in the Philippine Basketball Association. This center/Power Forward athlete stands 6’6 and weighs 220 lbs.
The first team for whom Jose played was the Ateneo Blue Eaglets during the UAAP Juniors division. Jose led this team to many victorious seasons and championships. In 1998, he led this team to many final four appearances and with two UAAP Final appearances. Eventually, the team won the crown in 2002 against their rival team, the De La Salle Green Archers.

Career highlights
Jose won the most valuable player award but lost to Don Allado in 1999 and Rich Alvarez in 2000 and 2001. Finally in 2002, he won the title of the Basketball most valuable player award. In 2004-05, he was inducted with the most improved player award. In 2005-06, he was awarded the PBA Fiesta Conference Best Player and in 2005-06, he won the Mythical Team award.
