Michael James Batiste

Michael James Batiste was born in 1977 in Long Beach in California. He is an American professional basketball player which is at present playing for Panathinaikos, the Greek League. This 5 feet 8 ½ inches tall athlete is a forward center positioned player who weighs 250 lbs. He is known as one of the best ever power forwards who is playing in the Euro League. His highlight reel dunks and central finishing plays around the basket draws the attention of his fans.

Batiste studied in Arizona State University. During this time, he played basketball and led the Pacific Ten conference from 1997 to 1998. During this period, he was named the First Team Pac-10 from 1998 to 1999. He was undrafted in 2000, and his former teams include the Spirou Charleroi in the Belgian League in 2000-2001 season, in the Lauretana Biella in the Italian League in 2001-2002 season and in 2002-03 NBA season, he played with the Memphis Grizzlies. With the Memphis Grizzlies, he played 75 games, scoring .7 apg and 6.4 ppg averaging 6.4 points per game and 3.4 rebounds in each game with 16.6 minutes in each game.

In 2003, he joined the Greek team, Panathinaikos Athens. Since then, he has played a key role in this team.
