Chris Anderson
6’10” tall Chris Anderson is currently playing for Denver Nuggets. While growing up at Lola, Texas, Anderson played for Blinn College in his senior years at college. He played for the 1999 NBA draft undrafted and started playing for the Chinese Basketball League. Since returning back to NBA, he has played for Denver Nuggets and New Orleans Hornets.
Anderson is nicknamed “birdman” because of his athletic slam dunks. He has appeared in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 2004 and 2005. Anderson violated the league’s anti-drug policy in 2006 when he tested positive for a banned drug. He was disqualified from NBA. He won an appeal against the charges and was re-instated to NBA in 2008.
Abderson had accumulated a total of 1752 points during his NBA career with 1664 rebounds, 134 steals and 182 assists. With average points of 5.3 per game, Anderson performed his best of 7.7 points per game in the 2004-05 season. The same season, he reached his career highest of 6.1 rebounds per game.
On returning back to NBA, Anderson signed up with New Orleans Hornets in 2008. In 2007-08, Anderson was waived off by the Hornets. He returned back to the Denver Nuggets and signed a one-year contract with the team. He shone through his come-back season with the Nuggets by scoring 452 points with 442 rebounds. He finished the season with 6.2 rebounds per game and 6.4 points per game. He scored an NBA best of 5.68 blocks per 48 minutes of game play.
