Spain national basketball team 1994 - present

In his club career, Carlos Jimenez won the Spanish King’s Cup with Adecco Estudiantes in 1999-2000. During the 2006 FIBA World Championship, Jimenez played with the Spain national basketball team. He played in the Gold Medal games against team USA at the 2008 Olympics Basketball Tournament, but lost this game. When this tournament was over, he retired from the Spain national basketball team. During his stint with this team, he was the captain of the group of players. For the Spain national basketball team, Jimenez is the Spanish player with maximum medals in international tournaments.

Jimenez was included in the preseason roster of the Sacramento Kings in 2002-03. However, 1 week before the beginning of the regular season, he was cut from the team. Due to these changes, he never could gain an experience of playing in the NBA. From 1994 to 2006, he was a member of Adecco Estudiantes. He played for Unicaja Malaga from 2006 to present.
