Alex Mumbru is a member of the Spanish national basketball team. He won the Gold Medal in the 2006 FIBA World Championship and the Silver Medal in the 2007 Eurobasket. While playing for Joventut Badalona, he won the 2006 FIBA EuroCup Winner. When he was associated with Real Madrid, he was 2007 Liga ACB winner and 2007 ULEB Cup Winner.

During his career, he represented the various professional clubs in this manner – Joventut Badalona from 1996 to 2002, Real Madrid from 2002 to 2004, Joventut Badalona from 2004 to 2006 and Read Madrid from 2006 to 2009.

Mumbru plays in the position of small forward. His height is 6 feet 7.5 inches and weight is 220 lbs. In the 2008-09 season, he participated in 20 games out of which he started in 9 games.
