Kostas Tsartsaris
Kostas Tsartsaris is at present playing for the Greek national basketball team as well as the professional club Panathinaikos. He weighs 250 lbs and is 6 feet 10.25 inches tall. He plays in the position of Forward Center.
During the 1997-98 season, Tsartsaris played for Grindavik in Iceland and during this stint was first noticed by the professional Greek clubs. He played for this team in 1997-98 and then returned to Greece. He represented Near East during the 1998-99 season. In 1999, he joined Peristeri and remained with them till 2002. Further, he shifted to Panathinaikos. For 3 continous years, he has been the Greek Cup Most Valuable Player.
In 2007, he won the Triple Crown Championship with Panathinaikos. He was the winner of the Euroleague 2006-07 with Panathinaikos. He won 6 Greek Basketball Cups with Panathinaikos during 2003 and 2005 to 2009. He was 7 time Greek A1 League All Star Game Selection.
Career Highlights
Tsartsaris won the Gold Medal for Greece in the 2005 Serbia and Montenegro European Championships. He won the Silver medal during the 2006 Japan FIBA World Championships. 5 Acropolis tournaments were won by him during 2002, 2005 to 2008. He won the 2006 Stankovic Continental Champions Cup with Greece.
