Vasileios Spanoulis is a professional basketball player with a height of 6 feet 4 inches and weight of 205 lbs. He plays in the position of point guard or shooting guard. Currently, he is a member of the Greek national basketball team.

From 1999 to 2001, Spanoulis was a member of Gymnastikos S. Larissas. He played for Maroussi from 2001 to 2005. Houston Rockets was his team during the 2006-07 season.

For the Greek national basketball team, Spanoulis has won the following medals – in 2000, at the FIBA Europe Under 18 championship – a Bronze Medal, at the 2001 Mediterranean Games – a Silver Medal, in 2002, at the FIBA Europe Under 20 Championship – a Gold Medal, at the 2005 European Championship – a Gold Medal, at the 2006 FIBA World Championship – a Silver Medal. He also won the 2006 Stankovic Continental Champions Cup. From 2004 to 2008, he won 5 Acropolis of Athens tournaments.

Spanoulis won 3 Greek Cups with Panathinaikos in 2006, 2008 and 2009. He also won 2 Greek Championships with Panathinaikos in 2006 and 2008.

Career Highlights

During 2005-06, he was selected in the All Euroleague Second team. He was Acropolis tournament Most Valuable Player in 2007. In 2004, he was the Greek League Most Improved Player.
