Joe Ingles

Joe Ingles is an Australian professional basketball player. He plays in the National Basketball Association for the Orlando Magic. He has also played for the Milwaukee Bucks and the Utah Jazz.

In addition to the NBA, he has also played in Australia’s National Basketball League and several teams in the European League. He is an NBL Champion as well as a Spanish SuperLeague Champion and a Spanish League Champion.

Ingles has also represented Australia internationally and in 2020, he was part of the Australian Men’s National Basketball team that won the bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Joseph Howarth Ingles was born on October 2, 1987, in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. He stands 203 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 100 kg. Shooting left, he is a small forward and shooting guard.

His wife Renae Ingles plays netball in Australia. In addition to basketball, he also follows football and is a fan of the Hawthorn Football Club.

High School

He attended Pasadena High School in Adelaide, South Australia. Later, he attended the University of Canberra Senior Secondary College Lake Ginninderra in Canberra, ACT.

Professional Career

He started his professional career in 2006 when he played for the South Dragons in the NBL. He played with the team through to 2009 and was named the NBL Rookie of the Year. He also earned All-NBL Third Team honors.

In 2009, he signed to play for CB Granada in Spain’s Liga ACB. He transferred from Granada to Barcelona in 2010. In 2013, he moved to the Israeli club, Maccabi Tel Aviv. He was part of the team that won the 2013-2014 EuroLeague Championships.

He declared for the NBA in 2009 but he went undrafted. In 2014, he was signed with the Utah Jazz. In 2017, he re-signed with the team and was a starter for the first half of the season. In 2019, the team extended his contract through to the 2021-2022 season. In 2022, the Jazz traded him to the Milwaukee Bucks.

In July 2023, he signed with the Orlando Magic. As of the start of 2024, he still plays for the Magic.
