Erazem Lorbek is a Slovenian former professional basketball player. He played at the power forward and center positions.
Lorbek built an accomplished career in European basketball, highlighted by winning the EuroLeague championship with FC Barcelona in 2010. He is a three-time All-EuroLeague Team selection and one-time EuroLeague Rising Star award winner.
He was drafted into the National Basketball Association by the Indiana Pacers and was traded to the San Antonio Spurs, but he didn’t play in the NBA.
Lorbek was also a regular contributor to the Slovenian National Team, helping them to a fourth-place finish at EuroBasket 2009 and earning All-EuroBasket Team honors.

Erazem Lorbek was born on February 21, 1984, in Ljubljana, Slovenia.Standing 210 cm tall and weighing 113 kg during his career, he was recognized for his skills both inside the paint and as a shooter. Lorbek is the older brother of Domen Lorbek and Klemen Lorbek, both of whom also played basketball professionally.
High School and College Career
Lorbek began playing with youth clubs in Union Olimpija and the Slovenian league.He attended Michigan State University for the 2002–03 season, where he averaged 6.4 points and 3.3 rebounds as a freshman.
Professional Career
After his season at Michigan State, Lorbek returned to Europe to start his professional career with Fortitudo Bologna in Italy from 2003 to 2006, where he won the Italian League title and the EuroLeague Rising Star award in 2005. He subsequently played for Unicaja Málaga, Benetton Treviso, and Lottomatica Roma, becoming one of the league's top power forwards.In 2008, Lorbek joined CSKA Moscow, where he reached the EuroLeague final and was named to the All-EuroLeague Second Team.
In 2009, he signed with FC Barcelona, staying until 2014 and winning the EuroLeague title in 2010, three Spanish League titles, three Spanish Cups, and numerous Super Cups. After battling knee injuries, Lorbek attempted comebacks in Limoges and Dinamo Sassari, finishing his career in Petrol Olimpija in 2018.
Lorbek was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the 2005 NBA Draft but did not play in the NBA. His draft rights were later traded to the San Antonio Spurs.
