Quentin Richardson is a former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. In 2005, he was the NBA Three-Point Contest Champion. He has played with many NBA teams, such as Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, and the New York Knicks.

He shoots right-handed and he plays a shooting guard and a small forward.For 14 months, he was engaged to R&B singer Brandy. In 2002, he appeared in the film Van Wilder.
High School and College Career
Richardson attended Whitney Young High School in Chicago, Illinois. In 1998, he was named a McDonald’s All-American. He was also named as a Second-team Parade All-American in the same year.Later, he played college basketball for DePaul University and was there from 1998 to 2000. In 1999, he was named the USBWA National Freshman of the Year and the Conference USA Player of the Year.
Professional Career
Richardson joined the NBA during the 2000 NBA Draft, selected by the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round.He played with the Clippers through to 2004. Later, he signed with the Phoenix Suns. In 2005, he signed with the New York Knicks. That year, he was the NBA Three-Point Contest Champion.
In 2009, he signed with the Miami Heat and from 2010 to 2012, he played for the Orlando Magic. Before he retired in 2013, he played for a short time with the Knicks again.
In 2014, he became a coach for the Detroit Pistons and was their Director of Player Development.
