Carroll attended Hatboro-Horsham High School in Horsham, Pennsylvania, where he played under Coach Walt Ostrowski.He played college basketball at the University of Notre Dame from 1999 to 2003. Carroll was a First-team All-Big East selection in 2003 and concluded his collegiate career as one of the school's top scorers.
Professional Career
Carroll went undrafted in the 2003 NBA Draft but began his professional career with the Portland Trail Blazers. He also played for the San Antonio Spurs and spent time in the NBA Development League with the Roanoke Dazzle, where he was named NBA D-League MVP in 2005.Carroll joined the Charlotte Bobcats in 2005 and became a key contributor, particularly as a shooter. He later played for the Dallas Mavericks during the 2009–2010 season before returning to the Bobcats, where he finished his NBA career in 2012.
